SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

BPW/NJ proudly endorses Susan Parsons Reed for a second term as BPW/USA Vice President. Susan has been a dual member of BPW/NJ and BPW/PA since 1997. She was BPW/PA Legislation Chair, Public Relations Chair, PAC Chair and Recording Secretary and BPW/NJ Treasurer, Vice President, and President. She was also a member of the BPW/USA Legislation Committee 1989-1990 and 2003-2005, BPW/USA Treasurer 2005-2007, and is the current BPW/USA Vice President.

Susan Parsons Reed has demonstrated her commitment to action over the course of her 30-year membership. She chaired her local organization's committee that submitted the winning nominee for BPW/PA's 1985 Employer of the Year Award. She authored a resolution which was adopted at the 1984 National Conference condemning exit polling. She also marched in Washington for reproductive choice in 1992 and 2004, and traveled throughout Pennsylvania advocating for the establishment of a state PAC, which was overwhelmingly adopted at the 1988 state convention. Susan Parsons Reed attended night school to obtain her B.A. in Accounting while working full-time and raising her son alone. She serves in the area of controller/business development for a marketing communications company

Susan Parsons Reed firmly believes that her BPW membership has dramatically influenced her life and she has a strong desire to share her experience with other workingwomen.
